Welcome to Junior Infants!

Hi everyone and welcome to Junior Infants!

Hopefully everyone is enjoying these very exciting first days of school. We’ve had a few busy days but are all settling in really well to our new routines and environment!

I will try to update you regularly with pictures and information. It also gives you a chance to ask your child more about what we’ve been doing during the school day.

A few things to note:

  • If you haven’t done so, please make sure label your child’s bag, coat and Jumpers etc.
  • Please ensure that when your child walks into the classroom they are hanging up their own coat and leaving their bags on the floor under their names.

Thanks for visiting our blog. Come back soon to see what we’ve been up to and visit the gallery to see photos!

Active Schools Week 2017

We had one of our most active Active School’s weeks this year. The children participated in obstacle courses, zumba, dancing, yoga, jogs around the school and a whole school walk to Priorswood park.

Chicks in Junior Infants

There was great excitement throughout the school when Miss Bourke’s class got some new additions before Easter. It was a wonderful chance for the children to see a life cycle in action.

First Class Art Exhibition

The pupils in First class showed off their incredible clay art project to their parents and the other pupils in the school. Thanks to the artist Mary Wallace from Wexford for undertaking the space project with the children.

Operation Transformation 10 @ 10

All pupils and teachers embraced Operation Transformation’s call to increase our fitness last week. We did a variety of aerobics, yoga, dance and obstacle courses as well as our usual hour of PE. Let’s hope we keep it up.
