We had one of our most active Active School’s weeks this year. The children participated in obstacle courses, zumba, dancing, yoga, jogs around the school and a whole school walk to Priorswood park.
There was great excitement throughout the school when Miss Bourke’s class got some new additions before Easter. It was a wonderful chance for the children to see a life cycle in action.
Well done to Layla Fennell and Ross Coughlan who won prizes in the Northside partnership art competition. The theme was hope.
In April all classes and teachers got involved in a community clean up. Some parents even came along to help us to clean the local parks and the school and church grounds.
The pupils in First class showed off their incredible clay art project to their parents and the other pupils in the school. Thanks to the artist Mary Wallace from Wexford for undertaking the space project with the children.
All pupils and teachers embraced Operation Transformation’s call to increase our fitness last week. We did a variety of aerobics, yoga, dance and obstacle courses as well as our usual hour of PE. Let’s hope we keep it up.
